SIMONE CRISTICCHI borns in Rome on 1977. Only 17 years old he starts to play guitar and to write his songs. Now he considerated one of best young italian song-writer. His songs are about italian society and youngers, students and their lifes. Society, absence of work, corruption, bad stylifes; these are the contents of Simone Cristicchi' songs. The texts are easy, funny and humor poems to remember and we can say that song-writers as De André for texts, and Rino Gaetano for style and humor; many of his music, comes from the oldest italian traditions and italian folk music "Vorrei cantare come Biagio Antonacci" -(I'd like to sing as Biagio Antonacci) has been his first success, after being rejected several times, succeeds, thanks to the success of the song "Vorrei cantare come Biagio Antonacci" to participate in Sanremo Music Festival, where, in 2007, he is the winner with "Ti regalerò una rosa" is the definitive consecration of Simone Cristicchi as a singer. Despite now in its repertoire there are also songs for a wider audience, Cristicchi continues to write and sing songs of complaint and protest, as 'Genova brucia' - "Burns, Genoa" which is the complaint of aggression by the Italian police against demonstrators, 27th G8 summit in 2001 which was held in Genoa, where, in 3 days of manifestations, has been transformed in 'riots', after a young man was killed by a pistol shot of a policeman. That event is one of more important internal political events in Italy just to '92 'Mani Pulite', but despite this event, there were 300,000 participants were deleted from the memory of people just on 9-11...
UMBERTO BINDI borns on 1932 near Genoa, he begins to study, very young, the piano, graduated at the Conservatory, deals with opera, operetta and little threatre shows, called 'rivista'. His first song, "T'ho perduto" - (Did I lost), and 1950. Hired by Ariston (the Sanremo's acting company, the same threatre were Italian Music festival plays ), debuts in Sanremo music festival as author. Together Paolo Conte, Fabrizio de André, Gino Paoli and Bruno Lauzi he is one of 'genonian's song-writers", a group of musicians comes from Genoa very important for the 'revolution of italian popular music'. Umberto Bindi ,in particular, is the most prepared musically of them, and his propensity for a stylish melody and lavish arrangements resemble him the singers from classic music. His best compositions have texts of a fellow countryman, lyricist Giorgio Calabria. The italian world 'cantautore' (song-writer) was 'letteral' invented for Umberto Bindi!! That thing is only to explain the importance of Bindi for the italian music world , but... but he was a problem. Umberto Bindi was a gay, and, in the Italian society of '60's and '70's who was omosexual cannot be a VIP; he couldn't show himself in Tv, that's the big problem for Bindi's career: when, in '70's his sexuality becomes pubblic his career stopped; problem that leads him to die in poverty in 2002. That big musicians, We found him only on '96, in Sanremo - as You can see in the video n.12 of video playlist belowe -. That's happen, unfortunately, in Italy, the Country where Vaticano lives, and, still now, who isn't 'normal' has big problems in the 'italian pubblic life', also if the most part of italian society, now, accepted these diversities... In the last times, thanks to Morgan, one of three judges of Italian X Factor, the musical Tv-show, Umberto Bindi is re-descovered by many teenagers, and that is a really good thing.
MARCO MASINI borns in Florence in 1964 and now is an Italian song-writer. Success becames after his first sanremo, with the song "Perchè lo fai" (Why You do it?), a story of an heroin-girl. That song, is a sort of Masini's sign: many of others of his songs will be very romantic and 'disperates', as the song "Disperato"... Also I don't love him, Masini wrote many beautiful songs, with great melodies, to respect the 'Traditional Italian Music's Style', with a text very easy to remember, but the words... The contents of Masini's songs are too negatives, too disperates, without hope... That is the reason why many songs of Marco Masini were considerated unlucky... That stupid superstition has been a problem for Masini. many albums didn't sell and many tv-shows didn't whant to him, but finally, years after that stupid things ended and now Marco Masini's concerts are full of fans.
